Today's high school students fall into a category called Generation Z. One characteristic of the Gen Z crowd is their overwhelming desire to make a difference, giving them the alternate name of "Philanthrokids".
For our May Chamber Member Meeting, we'll be welcoming some of our local high school students to share about the special capstone projects they're working on. To graduate, Ellsworth High School students must fulfill 50 service learning hours. Those pursuing a letter go beyond the 50 hours and complete a capstone project.
You'll learn about how the Senior Citizen Prom came to be, the impact that the Back to School Event had on the community, how the Gift Box Program continues to bring joy to area residents, and the inspiration behind the St. Francis Security Project!
The leadership, passion, and inspiration behind their work--You're going to be encourage and impressed by these amazing young adults! Registration deadline: Tuesday, May 21, 2019.
