"Building a Better Community"

Chamber Mission Statement
The Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce serves the needs of its members by working to promote the entire Ellsworth community, whether it be economic, industrial, professional, cultural, educational or civic in nature.

The EACC accomplishes their mission in the following ways:

Community Events
The EACC coordinates a variety of community events:
    Spring Fever Expo
    Farmers' Market
    Cheese Curd Festival
    Under the Harvest Moon Celebration

The EACC also promotes and participates in these events:
    Pumpkin Party in the Park
    Customer Appreciation Days
    Pierce County Fair
    Polka Fest

These events are organized to bring the community together, provide networking opportunities for volunteers, and to provide an example of leadership and involvement for our youth.  Chamber members can also take advantage of sponsorship and advertising opportunities at these events as well as participation on the planning committees.

Awards
The Chamber Ambassador Committee coordinates and presents several annual awards, recognizing those individuals and businesses that have been in exceptional in their efforts to better the Ellsworth community.    Holiday Decorating Contest.  Businesses are encouraged to add a festive touch to their storefronts to beautify the community and encourage spirited patronage.

Ellsworth Dollars
Ellsworth Dollars are available for purchase at the Ellsworth Chamber office as well as EACC Members, Associated Bank, Bank Mutual and M&I Bank.  They come in $5, $10, and $20 denominations that spend the same as cash for your gift-giving convenience.  All Ellsworth-area businesses are asked to accept Ellsworth Dollars and handle them the same as a check.  This program encourages and promotes local spending.  Ellsworth businesses are awesome about supporting local causes -- show your thanks by shopping local!

Welcome Bags
The Chamber Office provides welcomes bags to new area residents.  The welcome bags contain coupons, brochures and trinkets provided by Chamber Members -- a welcoming service that introduces our community and its offerings to those unfamiliar with Ellsworth.

Communication
The Chamber promotes Ellsworth-area activities through the use of the Chamber website, the Visitor & Resident Guide, and inquiries received at the Chamber office.  Members are listed in the Guide directory, and receive discounted rates on display advertising.  The Chamber website is a high-traffic area educating current and potential members on Chamber benefits and serices, and connecting the community to area events, businesses and services.

Member Meetings
Monthly member meetings are generally the last Thursday of the month at noon.  Meetings are held at member businesses, catered by members and feature a member speaker.  Updates are provided by the Chamber Executive Director, Treasurer and Committee Chairs. Member meeting are an excellent avenue for networking and marketing.  The Annual meeting is held in November when vacancies on the Board of Directors are filled through member election.  An Awards Banquet held in February serves as the Chamber's largest social member gathering of the year.

Business After 5
Business After 5 events are held each quarter at a member business. The member hosts the event and invites other businesses to showcase their businesses and products as well.  This event introduces new businesses to members, while providing another social aspect for networking.

Weekly E-mail Blasts
Chamber members stay informed with the most current activities through e-mail updates from the Chamber office.  Whether it be an alert regarding stolen checks or an invitation to a new business ribbon-cutting, this information is at your fingertips.

Choices
What may set the Ellsworth Chamber apart from other towns is the appreciation of your participation at every level.  Where else do you have the choice to attend ribbon cuttings welcoming a new business to town; help beautify the community by sponsoring planter boxes; attend monthly meetings to network with other business owners/managers in your area; or volunteer at community events and show people first hand how grateful we are that they chose to visit Ellsworth?  We respect your choices, and welcome your business at the participation level that works best for you.

Resources
Our Members have access to a variety of resources:  from the Chamber Office itself, which will seek answers to your questions; to fellow Chamber Members, who offer a wealth of knowledge in a variety of professional fields; to Community Organizations, serving the community and businesses with their volunteerism and civic support; to Business Services offered through Members and Partners, often at discounted or no cost.
