What does the Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce do?

Community:

The EACC coordinates community events including:

• Spring Fling Expo

• Miss Ellsworth Program

• Cheese Curd Festival

• Pumpkin Party in the Park

• Tree of Spirit Lighting

• Customer Appreciation Days

The Chamber also promotes and participates in:

• Polka Fest

• Pierce County Fair

These events are organized to bring the community together, provide networking opportunities for volunteers, and to provide an example of leadership and involvement for our youth. Chamber members can also take advantage of sponsorship and advertising opportunities at these events as well as participation on the planning committees

The Chamber coordinates and presents the following awards every year:

• Kermit Larson Award - Person nominated and selected who has been very active in making a difference in the Ellsworth area.

• MVP Chamber Volunteer Award - This award goes to the Chamber volunteer who has been very active and helpful in planning, and carrying out a variety of Chamber events in the past year.

• Colonel Ellsworth Awards - Presentation of academic achievement awards to chosen Ellsworth High School graduates.

Ellsworth Dollars are available for purchase at the Ellsworth Chamber office as well as area banks. They come in $5, $10, and $20 denominations that spend the same as cash for your gift giving convenience. All Ellsworth area businesses are asked to accept Ellsworth Dollars and handle them the same as a check. This program encourages and promotes local spending at Ellsworth area businesses. Ellsworth businesses are awesome about supporting local causes, let us show our thanks by buying here!

Communication

The Chamber promotes Ellsworth area activities through the use of the www.ellsworthchamber.com website, the Visitor/New Residence Guide, and inquiries received at the Chamber office. Members are listed in the visitor's guide directory, and are encouraged to do their own advertising there as well. The Chamber website is a high traffic area educating people on member contact information, area events, and links to the Ellsworth area.

Newsletter

The Chamber newsletter is sent out monthly to all chamber members and Ellsworth area businesses. Members have an opportunity to advertise in this newsletter through card ads and inserts. This great tool keeps area businesses up to date with activities within the Chamber, as well as helpful information that may increase business. Click here to download the current newsletter.

Chamber members stay informed with the most current activities through e-mail updates from the Chamber office. Whether it is an alert regarding stolen checks, or an invitation to a new business Ribbon Cutting, this information is at your fingertips.
